Because this is an item made from wood there may be grain, knots, or other marks in the wood. These are not defects, these are just unique qualities of natural material. For colored pieces, we use non-toxic stains, paints, and sealants. All Nomari Design toys use toy safe woods and are designed to meet CPSC safety requirements.
